CALPIRG 2013 Legislative Scorecard
CALPIRG’s mission is to deliver persistent, result-oriented public interest activism that protects consumers, encourages a fair, sustainable economy, and fosters responsive, democratic government.
Our 2013 scorecard grades legislators for their votes on CALPIRG-supported legislation to protect consumers, lower health care costs, foster participation in elections, reduce the influence of big money in politics, and make tax subsidies more transparent and accountable. Members of the Senate are scored on up to 19 votes, and members of the Assembly on up to 15 votes. The total number of bills per legislator varies because not every bill received a floor vote.
DEFEND THE CFPB
Tell your senators to oppose the “Financial CHOICE Act,” which would gut Wall Street reforms and destroy the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as we know it.
Your donation supports CALPIRG’s work to stand up for consumers on the issues that matter, especially when powerful interests are blocking progress.
